Nuclear Universities Capabilities Directory
UNENE is a unique collaboration between Canada’s nuclear industry, leading universities, and government partners. Founded to strengthen Canada’s nuclear expertise, UNENE supports the development of highly qualified personnel (HQP), advances targeted research and innovation, and fosters collaboration between academia and industry.
The Capabilities Directory is a key resource within the UNENE Collaboration Hub. It offers a clear view of the diverse nuclear-related programs, research strengths, and expert facilities available at UNENE’s member universities. The directory highlights both UNENE-funded and complementary university initiatives, including Industrial Research Chairs (IRCs) and Research Cooperative Projects (RCPs), that address current industry challenges and build long-term capacity.
Designed to grow over time, the directory provides industry partners, researchers, and stakeholders with a valuable overview of university-based talent and infrastructure, supporting stronger connections, collaborative projects, and innovation in nuclear science and engineering.
Explore the directory to discover how academic capabilities across the network are contributing to the future of nuclear in Canada, and beyond.
