About the Course
This course introduces students to the core principles of occupational and environmental health physics as applied in the nuclear power, medical, and research fields. Topics include the regulatory framework for radiation safety, essential dosimetric quantities, units and models, and the assessment of doses from both internal and external exposures to ionizing radiation. Students will also examine the key components of an effective radiation safety program and explore environmental exposure pathways relevant to real-world practice.
In this course you will be learning from
Josip Zic – Chief Nuclear Officer Health McMaster University
and
Chris Malcolmson – Health Physics Director McMaster University
