October 25, 2025 @ 8:00 am

About the Course

This course provides a strong foundation in the physical principles governing nuclear reactors while developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Students learn to analyze reactor physics scenarios and apply theoretical concepts to practical applications. Topics include neutron-induced reactions, fission chain reactions, neutron behaviour and power production, diffusion theory (static and time-dependent), and key aspects of CANDU reactor design.

In this course you will be learning from Dr. Benjamin Rouben, a seasoned nuclear expert and Adjunct Professor at McMaster University.

Who Can Join

This course is open to individuals registered in the UNENE M.ENG or UNENE Degree program. Please note—spaces are limited and registration is open only to participants currently residing in Canada.
