UN802 – Nuclear Reactor Physics – exam
November 15 @ 9:00 am
About the Course
This course equips students with a solid foundation in the core physical principles that govern nuclear reactors, while fostering critical, independent thinking and strong problem-solving skills. Students develop the ability to analyze reactor physics scenarios and apply theoretical concepts to practical situations. Key topics include neutron-induced nuclear reactions, the nuclear-fission chain reaction, fundamental quantities and methods used to describe neutron behaviour and power production in reactors, both static and time-dependent diffusion equations, and essential elements of CANDU reactor design.
In this course you will be learning from
Dr. Ben Rouben – Adjunct Professor, McMaster University
and
