Preparation
It is highly recommended that students attend the Safety Refresher Course to be taught by Dr. Popov October 27-30, 2025 for the Winter Course. Please see Safety Refresher Page for further information.
Although the level of physics and math required for UN0803 is relatively modest, it is recommended that you review the refresher material for both in preparation for the course as well.
It is assumed you are familiar with CANDU design. If not, it is highly recommended that you skim the text for UN0803 to understand what you need to know; and read the relevant sections of the textbook: “The Essential CANDU” for a summary of the CANDU design.
