Course Description
The risk analysis and management of engineering systems are integral parts of the operation of a nuclear power plant. In this course, students will learn the risk and reliability analysis methods used by nuclear industry professionals for probabilistic safety assessment (PSA) of safety systems. The nuclear industry is also adopting probabilistic methods to assess the fitness-for-service of reactor systems/components. This course will enable the students to learn such methods through several
practical case studies.
