Course Description
Project management has evolved into a highly valued professional discipline, particularly for engineers, and even those pursuing strictly technical roles will inevitably work within project environments. This course provides a practical, applied introduction to the globally recognized Project Management Body of Knowledge, covering key areas such as integration, scope, cost, time, risk, human resources, stakeholder engagement, communications, and procurement. Through group discussions, case studies, and individual and team assignments—including “lessons learned” analyses from real international and domestic projects—students gain a strong understanding of project management terminology, frameworks, and disciplined processes. The course equips learners with practical tools to enhance their effectiveness and marketability, expand their project experience, and, with additional reading and professional practice, prepare for future project management certification exams.
